PineBridge Investments Appoints Shannan Simmons as Head of Business Development, Americas

New York, 17 June 2024 – PineBridge Investments ("PineBridge"), a private, global asset manager focused on active, high-conviction investing, has announced a strategic appointment within its Americas Client Group, signaling a significant step in the firm's commitment to enhancing its presence and impact in key markets.

Effective 17 June, Shannan Simmons has been appointed Head of Business Development, Americas, alongside her current position as Global Head of Consultant Relations. This strategic expansion underscores PineBridge's dedication to strengthening its foothold in the Americas market as it enters the next phase of growth.

Reporting to Sergio Ramirez, Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Global Client Group, Shannan now oversees the wider Americas sales team, leading efforts to expand PineBridge's footprint across the regional Retirement, Intermediary, and Latin America channels. The Global Insurance Solutions team will continue to report to Luke Schlafly. In addition, Shannan will amplify the firm’s engagement with the Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) market globally. With her deep understanding of client needs and market dynamics, she will collaborate closely with internal teams to design innovative solutions to deliver exceptional value to clients. This strategic expansion of her responsibilities is a testament to PineBridge’s long-term commitment to this market as the firm enters its next phase of growth.

Shannan brings nearly two decades of industry expertise to her new role, along with a proven track record of cultivating new business opportunities and nurturing enduring relationships. Since joining PineBridge in 2020, she has been instrumental in driving global client wins through consultant-driven initiatives.

Prior to her tenure at PineBridge, Shannan served in senior roles at Janus Henderson Investors and J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where she played key roles in consultant relations and investment analysis.
