James Jakeman

Mr. Jakeman has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry and co-leads responsibility for all investment teams, having previously led Benson Elliot’s UK and Irish coverage. During his career, Mr. Jakeman has led equity, mezzanine and senior financing transactions across retail, office, industrial and residential assets primarily in the UK, Scandinavia and Central Europe. Before joining Benson Elliot in 2012, Mr. Jakeman was a Managing Director and Head of UK Real Estate Finance at Société Générale, following eight years at Lehman Brothers where he served as Executive Director on the real estate principal investments team. Mr. Jakeman began his real estate career in 1995 at Jones Lang LaSalle and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor having graduated from CASS Business School with a BSc Hons in Property Valuation and Finance.
