Simon Tsoi, CFA, FRM

Mr. Simon Tsoi joined PineBridge in 2016 and is the Portfolio Manager for PineBridge’s Greater China and Hong Kong equity portfolios. With nearly 15 years of experience in fundamental equity investment and research covering the Asia region, Simon plays a key role in the team’s investment management process and portfolio decision-making, where his responsibilities encompass conducting in-depth valuation analyses, performing industry research, and generating innovative investment ideas.

Simon’s deep expertise in analyzing performance drivers and managing portfolios' risk and return profiles has been crucial in steering the firm’s regional equity franchise. His specialization in China’s financial and technology sectors, combined with his ability to navigate onshore opportunities and risks, has been particularly impactful in the success of the Greater China product range.

Prior to joining PineBridge, Simon served as a Research Analyst at Seres Asset Management, where he focused on small and mid-cap companies in Hong Kong, China, and ASEAN. He also held a similar role at WMG Asia, a regional hedge fund.

Simon holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as well as a Master of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science, both from The University of Hong Kong. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
