PineBridge Hosts Webinar Focused on Persevering Through Intersectionality With a Pioneer in Women’s Football

The PineBridge Women’s Network, Black Employee Network, GenBridge, and LGBTQ+ & Allies Networks hosted their first-ever intersectionality webinar for employees, featuring English footballer Hope Powell, titled “Lessons in Perseverance: A Conversation With a Women’s Football Pioneer.”

Covering issues including discrimination, perseverance, and the importance of mentorship and grit to push through challenges, the webinar explored lessons from Hope’s journey from player to coach, examining the issues she faced and barriers she tore through to pave the way for improvements in women’s football.

“This conversation is at the intersection of causes our Employee Resource Groups champion – so much of Hope’s experience and wisdom has parallels to everyday challenges we all face, regardless of the industries we work in,” said Sergio Ramirez, Chief Revenue Officer, Head of Global Client Group, and Co-Chair of PineBridge’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. He added, “Everyone at our firm shares responsibility for helping to ensure an inclusive and welcoming culture of equity, and this webinar was a classic example of our collaborative and integrated approach.”
